Dawn Bowe was born into a life that definitely did not have silver spoons floating around. Her family had to work hard for everything they had. Just like any other parents, Dawn's  parents made sacrifices, but as a result of those sacrifices, they caused an insurmountable degree of damage in Dawn's world. She then had to find ways to cope with the dangers of life and push through the obstacles that presented themselves.

Some ways that Dawn found to cope were not always the best ways...but she had to do what she had to do in order to survive this thing called 'life'. Dawn had to overcome abandonment issues, low-self esteem issues as well as being victimized early on as a child. At times she felt that she had to do it all on her own. In the end it was by the grace of God, as well as the love from her family that kept her afloat.

Dawn joined the military right after high-school and served in the United States Army. From there she enrolled in Kennesaw State University and majored in Human Services. Wanting to continue her education, she then went on to pursue and earned her Masters degree in Public Administration. Dawn is an advocate for children of abuse; making them aware that they too have a voice. She volunteers throughout her community helping other children who have experienced their own levels of abuse. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

In her professional life, Dawn has started her own book publishing company to help other authors like herself market their books in the most effective and efficient way possible. Visit her at www.bowepublishing.com
